Rules & General Conditions
Important regulations for the Non-Immigrant B Visa include:
• The initial Non-Immigrant B Visa is valid for 90 days.
• Holders must apply for a work permit during the 90-day validity period.
• A one-year extension is possible once the work permit is approved.
• A re-entry permit is required each time you leave Thailand while on a 90-day visa.
• One-year B Visa holders must report their address every 90 days at Immigration.
• Extensions and renewals must be completed inside Thailand.
Note: Immigration officers may request additional documentation depending on your employment situation and company type.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Non-Immigrant B Visa, applicants must meet one of the following:
Business / Company Setup:
• Opening or investing in a Thai company
• Conducting business activities or meetings
• Having a clear business plan and financial proof
Employment in Thailand:
• A formal job offer or employment contract
• Company sponsorship (Thai employer)
• Required documents provided by the employer (company registration, tax documents, quota requirements, etc.)
General applicant requirements:
• Passport valid for at least 6 months
• Completed visa application form
• Proof of finances (20,000 THB individual / 40,000 THB family)
• Recent passport photos
Additional documents may be required depending on whether the visa is for employment or business purposes.

Application Process
The application process for the Non-Immigrant B Visa follows these steps:

Receive a job offer, company invitation, or business support documents.

Prepare all required documents (personal + employer/company documents).

Apply for a 90-day Non-Immigrant B Visa at a Thai Embassy/Consulate OR convert your current visa inside Thailand.

Pay visa fees (2,000 THB single-entry / 5,000 THB multiple-entry).

Apply for the work permit once the 90-day visa is issued.

After the work permit is approved, extend the 90-day visa to a 1-year Non-Immigrant B Visa at Immigration.
