Retirement Visa Overview — Non-Immigrant O, O-A, and O-X
Thailand is one of the world’s most popular retirement destinations thanks to its warm climate, excellent healthcare, and large expatriate community. Foreigners aged 50 and above may apply for a Retirement Visa under different categories:
• Non-Immigrant O Retirement Visa — 90 days (extendable to 1 year)
• Non-Immigrant O-A — 1-year visa
• Non-Immigrant O-X — 5-year visa (renewable to 10 years)
These visas allow long-term stay in Thailand but strictly prohibit employment.
Each category has different requirements, especially regarding financial proof and health insurance.
At Thailand Global Visa, we guide retirees through the complete process, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth Immigration procedures.
