What Is the DTV Visa?
The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is a 5-year multiple-entry visa allowing long stays in Thailand for work-from-anywhere professionals, cultural visitors, and long-term lifestyle travelers.
Key features include:
• 5-year validity (multi-entry)
• 180-day stay per entry, extendable for an additional 180 days
• Eligibility for spouses and children under 20
• Designed for remote work, Thai cultural activities, and long-term stays
This visa is one of the most flexible long-stay options available, with significantly fewer requirements compared to traditional long-term visas.

Who Can Apply for the DTV Visa?
The DTV Visa is open to several categories of visitors:
• Digital Nomads & Remote Workers
Freelancers, online entrepreneurs, and remote employees working for foreign companies.
• Thai Soft-Power Activities
Applicants joining long-term Muay Thai programs, cooking schools, martial arts, wellness programs, art or music courses.
• Long-Term Medical Programs
Individuals receiving specialised extended medical treatment in Thailand.
• Dependents
Spouses and children under 20 of a DTV holder can apply under the same visa category.
Financial Requirement:
Applicants must show proof of financial stability according to Thai Immigration standards.
Important Note:
The DTV must be applied for outside Thailand. Applicants currently inside the country may be required to exit briefly before applying.

DTV Visa Requirements
To apply for a DTV Visa, applicants generally need:
• Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
• Recent passport-size photo
• Proof of financial means
• Proof related to the purpose of stay:
– Remote work confirmation / freelance portfolio / business activity
– Enrollment or acceptance letter for Thai cultural programs
– Medical program confirmation (if applicable)
• Proof of address abroad (depending on embassy requirements)
• Supporting documents for dependents (marriage or birth certificates)

How the DTV Application Works

Step 1 — Consultation & Eligibility Check

Step 2 — Document Preparation

Step 3 — Submission Outside Thailand
The DTV must be applied for while outside Thailand.
Once you provide your entry stamp from a nearby country, we handle the full submission process online. -
Step 4 — Approval & Visa Issuance
Once approved, your digital DTV Visa is sent directly to you.
You may then enter Thailand and enjoy long-term flexible stays for up to five years. -
Step 5 — Extensions & Re-Entry
Each entry allows 180 days of stay, with a possible 180-day extension at Immigration.
You may leave and re-enter Thailand freely during the visa’s validity.
