What Is a Re-Entry Permit?
A Re-Entry Permit is an official stamp that protects your long-term Thai visa when you travel abroad.
Without it, your visa is automatically cancelled the moment you exit Thailand.
There are two types:
• Single Re-Entry Permit — valid for one exit and return.
• Multiple Re-Entry Permit — unlimited travel while your visa remains valid.
This permit is essential for holders of Non-Immigrant visas such as O, B, ED, Retirement, Investment, etc.
As of 2025, Thailand uses a Digital Arrival Card. When returning, enter your Re-Entry Permit number in the “visa number” field to ensure your visa remains valid.
